Reverend Roslyn M. Davis, B. Th.
Roslyn M. Davis is a native Philadelphian and was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of Seven, while attending the Garden Of Prayer Church under the leadership of Dr. and Mother Benjamin H. Dabney.
Roslyn rededicated her life to the Lord in 1975, and immediately received A call to preach the Gospel. She joined the Deliverance Evangelistic Church (DEC) in 1976 under the leadership of Pastor Benjamin Smith Sr. In 1977, Roslyn began taking classes at the Deliverance Evangelistic Bible Institute (DEBI).
While maintaining her membership at Deliverance, from 1977 through 1980 Roslyn worked with Shiloh Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder Henry Meadows. She served in the capacities of Directress of Outreach and Children's choir, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Teacher; she was Also a member of the choir and served as devotional leader
Roslyn attended Antioch University from 1983 1985 where she specialized in Human Services. In 1980 she graduated from DEBI where she received her General Theology Diploma. The Lord led her to work in DEC as a Youth Church Supervisor, Children's Church and VBS Instructor.
In 1981, Roslyn became a member of the faculty at DEBI, teaching the Role Of The Christian Woman, Discovering Your Faith I & II and many other courses. She served on the faculty for 18 years and is now an alumnus of DEBI.
She graduated from DEBI and received her Preliminary and Advanced Evangelical Training Association (ETA) Certificates. She received her Ministerial Diploma In 1991.Roslyn also completed B.C. I & II at Christian Stronghold Baptist Church.
Roslyn began preaching in 1983, conducted various Women Seminars and workshops. She later became a member of the Women's Fellowship Committee on which she continues to serve. This ministry seeks to meet the needs of women .She has served as Directress of Deliverance Evangelistic Home Care Ministry and Prayer Chain Counselor at Deliverance And The 700 Club. She received her ordination as an Evangelist in 1992. Roslyn currently Serves as an Associate Minister, Funeral Coordinator and Directress of Deliverance Grief Ministry.
Roslyn Loves the LORD with all her heart; she is a widow, the mother of one son Kenneth, one daughter-in-law, Janene Davis and is the grandmother of twin girls, Kennedy and Kendal and one grandson, Kenneth, Jr. Roslyn is a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession. Her favorite scripture is Galatians 6:14; "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our lord Jesus Christ, By whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world."
Her desire in ministry is for Souls to be saved, delivered and set free from the bondage's of sin, And to edify the Body of Christ. Roslyn earned a Bachelor Degree in theology from Jamison school of Theology in 2004, this allowed her to teach a Death and Dying class at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Her goal is continue her studies in biblical theology.
